When we imagined 22 Bishopsgate, we envisaged a thriving destination where passionate businesses across diverse landscapes could unite, learn and explore new ways of working.


Our key ethos

At 22B our four commitments of Learning & Education, Health & Wellness, Diversity & Inclusion and Environment & Sustainability underpin everything that we do. Our bespoke Environmental, Social and Governance policy is paramount to the success of the building and community. Much more than just the paper they’re written on (or typed on!), our four commitments form a large proportion of our key ethos and values.

Environment & Sustainability

Imagine a building engineered for optimum sustainability, the change in climate affects us all. It’s our duty to protect the earth’s resources by minimising our footprint and by ensuring that our building can adapt over time to sustain a long and productive economic life.

  • The 22 Team work to a set of circular economy principles and innovative logistics, built to reduce waste and make the smallest impact possible on the spaces around us.
  • Our partners are required to take the same approach, from the employment of environmentally considerate brands and products, to procuring only renewable energy within the building.

Health & Wellness

In a post pandemic world, a productive workplace is one focused on holistic wellbeing…At the heart of 22 Bishopsgate is our acknowledgement of the need for flexibility in here, when, and how people work.

  • We embrace a balance of wellbeing through physical, emotional, social, career, community and purpose. This can be experienced throughout the building through our design as well as within The Active Commuter Park, The Market and our Cultural programme.
  • Architecture embraces high ceilings, daylight and fresh air to foster a sense of freedom and movement throughout the building.

Learning & Education

Life never stops teaching and our thirst for learning should enrich everyday work..more energised than when they arrived.

  • We have developed and team and a culture that behaves more like an evolving university, than a five star hotel.
  • Our cultural events programme, driven by the 22B team, is designed to ask questions, spark debate and drive learning.
  • The 22B App exists as a digital continuation of this, giving our community a space to read interesting thought pieces, to spark conversation with one another and to leave their workplace.
